Easy bacon green beans

There’s something about good food – simple food – that makes the holidays so special. Sliced apple with brie and cheddar. Red wine. Easy Lamb. Sides. Yum

Green Beans with Bacon.
2 big handfuls of green beans, trimmed (2.5 cups or so)
2 slices of bacon diced
1/2 onion diced
sprinkle (1/8 tsp or so) crushed red pepper
salt to taste

1. Cook bacon with onions over medium heat until bacon is cooked and onion  is softened (3-5 minutes). Remove from pan.
2. Add green beans to the grease, increase heat to medium-high. C If you don’t like your beans to be dark, don’t increase the heat. If you plan to serve right away, cook 5-7 minutes until your desired doneness.
3. If you will reheat the beans, cook 3 minutes or so. Turn off heat and remove from pan. When you are ready to eat the beans, reheat pan on high. Toss the beans in the pan and let warm up.
4. Dress the beans with red pepper flakes and a dash of salt.
5. Enjoy!
